6.1 Choose a development path

Teloa offers development paths for resource authors, tool integrators, and source contributors. Start with the path that matches what you want to accomplish.

Integration does not grant permission

Skills, MCP configuration, resource relationships, and role permissions are separate layers. Writing “ignore approvals” in a skill does not grant permission. Do not call internal services directly to bypass execution checks.

Current interface status

Internal RPC and TypeScript contracts continue to evolve with the Alpha. They are not a stable public REST API, and there is currently no standalone public SDK. The official plugin catalog is empty; integrating a new Harness or arbitrary npm plugins is also outside the stable extension paths covered by this guide.

A native npm installer is planned but has not been implemented or published. It will install and manage the existing Web service, rather than provide terminal chat or a development SDK. See the installation guide for currently available startup workflows and local execution boundaries.

Before developing, set up an isolated data environment and record your version and reproducible inputs. See Testing and contributing for contribution requirements.
